Additionally, it helps reduce the water’s pH, making it more suitable for these species. Blackwater extract has antifungal, parasitic, and bacterial properties, making it practical for fish. It also enhances fish health, colouration and encourages natural breeding behaviours by providing the optimum environment. Blackwater extract is safe to use with shrimp. Shrimp can be sensitive to pH changes, so a slow acclimation is recommended.
