Cardinal Tetra
The Cardinal Tetra is one of the most iconic and breathtaking schooling fish in the freshwater hobby. Its vivid neon blue stripe runs the full length of its body above a brilliant red underside — a combination so striking that a school of Cardinals in a planted aquarium is truly unforgettable. Often considered the jewel of the community tank.

- Diet: Omnivore — micro pellets, flake, live and frozen foods

- pH: 4.5–7.0 (prefers soft, acidic water)
- Best kept: In groups of 10 or more
Cardinal Tetras look their absolute best in a blackwater-style planted tank with dark substrate, driftwood, and dim lighting — their colours positively glow in these conditions. A timeless classic that never fails to impress.
