Electric Yellow Cichlid (Labidochromis caeruleus)
The Electric Yellow Cichlid is one of the most popular and recognisable African cichlids in the hobby — and it's easy to see why. Its vivid, canary-yellow colouring is bold and unwavering, lighting up any aquarium like a flash of electricity. One of the more peaceful mbuna cichlids, it is a fantastic choice for Lake Malawi community setups.

- Temperament: Peaceful for a mbuna; generally tolerant with other cichlids

- Diet: Omnivore — cichlid pellets, live and frozen foods, spirulina-based foods
- Temperature: 24–28°C
- pH: 7.5–8.5
- Hardness: Hard water preferred
Electric Yellows look stunning against dark substrate and rocky aquascapes that mimic their natural Lake Malawi habitat. Best kept in a group with one male to several females to reduce aggression.
